Bicycle Disk Brake System Overview

A bicycle disk brake system consists of a rotor attached to the wheel hub and a caliper mounted to the frame or fork. When the lever is squeezed, hydraulic fluid or a cable actuates pistons, pressing friction pads against the rotor to create stopping force.
