Confirm this cause by checking for power at the switch terminal using a multimeter while the hazard button is depressed. If input power is detected at the switch harness but no output power is transmitted when the button is toggled, or if the switch mechanism feels physically unresponsive or gritty, the internal contacts of the switch have likely degraded.
