Confirm this cause by inserting a finger two inches into the soil. If the soil is soggy and waterlogged, the roots are likely suffering from suffocation and rot. If the soil is bone dry and hard, the plant is suffering from drought stress. This is the most common cause of chlorosis in indoor plants.
