The bicycle chain is slipping or skipping on the crankset (front gears) when pedaling. This can manifest as a sudden loss of power, a clicking sound, or the chain visibly jumping between gears or off the gears entirely.
Possible causes include a worn chain, worn crankset teeth, incorrect cable tension, a bent derailleur hanger, or a stiff chain link.
