Extrusion failure is confirmed when the printer's motion system operates as intended, but no molten plastic exits the nozzle during a print job. To verify this, observe the filament feed mechanism; if the extruder gear is spinning but the filament is not moving forward into the hotend, or if the motor is clicking while attempting to push material, the printer is failing to extrude.
