This cause is confirmed by performing a visual inspection of the charging hardware. Look for cracks, exposed wiring, or deformation on the charging handle, the flexible cable housing, and the vehicle's charge port pins. Any compromise to the integrity of the insulation or physical deformation of the connector pins can cause an electrical leak to ground.
