Remove the air filters and manually operate the throttle linkage with the engine off. Observe the carburetor throats for an immediate, strong stream of fuel from the accelerator pump nozzles. A weak, delayed, or absent fuel stream confirms a failure in the accelerator pump circuit or a damaged internal diaphragm.
