Misalignment or loose hardware is confirmed by inspecting the hinge leaves for gaps between the hinge and the door frame, or by identifying visible movement in the screws when the door is manipulated. If the door appears to sag or the frame shows signs of friction marks near the hinge side, the structural alignment of the assembly is compromised.
