Synthetic Grass Flattened or Matted Fibers

Assess the structural integrity of the fibers by brushing a section of the turf against the grain. If the fibers remain flattened or do not return to an upright position, verify the infill depth by measuring the distance between the top of the fiber and the top of the infill layer. If the infill is significantly lower than the manufacturer's recommended depth, the fibers lack the necessary support to remain upright under foot traffic.
