Front Suspension Noise Due to Worn Sway Bar Links

This is the most common cause of clunking or rattling over bumps. Confirm the failure by using a pry bar to apply leverage to the sway bar link joints. If there is visible 'play' or a metallic clunking sound when the link is manipulated, the ball-and-socket joints within the link are worn and require replacement.
