To diagnose this cause, inspect the tension of the X and Y axis belts. Pluck the belts to listen for a low-pitch vibration; they should produce a sound similar to a low-pitch guitar string. Use the Prusa belt-tuning web app to measure the frequency. If the frequency deviates significantly from the manufacturer-recommended range of 95–98 Hz, the belts are either too loose or too tight, which can cause mechanical rattling during directional changes.
