Front Suspension Noise Due to Cracked Bushings

Perform a visual inspection of the control arm or sway bar bushings for visible dry rot, cracks, or separation from the metal sleeve. Use a pry bar to apply gentle pressure to the bushing mount; if the rubber allows excessive movement or produces a squeaking or creaking sound under the pressure, the material has degraded.
