Repair Terminal Block Connections and Torque Conductors

Safety Warning: This procedure involves high-voltage equipment. Ensure the circuit breaker is turned off and verified with a non-contact voltage tester before proceeding. Only a qualified electrician should perform this work.

  1. Turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to the Wall Connector.
  2. Remove the Wall Connector faceplate and the unit from the wire box to expose the terminal block.
  3. Inspect the terminal block and wire ends for signs of discoloration, melting, or oxidation caused by high electrical resistance.
  4. If damage is present, trim the damaged wire ends and strip back to fresh, unoxidized copper, or replace the terminal block if it shows signs of melting.
  5. Re-insert the conductors into the terminal block and tighten the screws to the torque specifications provided in the Tesla Wall Connector installation manual.
  6. Reinstall the unit, restore power at the circuit breaker, and monitor for the 3-blink red light pattern during a charging session to verify the connection is stable and the fault is cleared.
