1. Remove all propellers from the drone to ensure safety during testing.
2. Connect the drone to your flight controller configuration software (e.g., Betaflight) via USB.
3. Navigate to the 'Motors' tab and enable the 'I understand the risks' toggle.
4. Individually test each motor using the software sliders to identify which physical motor corresponds to each software-defined motor index.
5. If the mapping is incorrect, access the Command Line Interface (CLI) and use the 'resource' command to reassign motor pins to match the physical layout of your frame.
6. Save the changes, reboot the flight controller, and verify the correct motor order in the 'Motors' tab before reattaching propellers.
