Tools Needed: Front axle wrench, bearing puller, new wheel bearings, dead blow hammer, bearing driver set.
- Lift the front of the bike until the wheel is off the ground and remove the front wheel.
- Remove the dust seals and use a bearing puller to extract the old bearings from the hub.
- Clean the bearing seat thoroughly with a rag.
- Press the new bearings into the hub using a driver that contacts only the outer race.
- Reinstall the dust seals and remount the wheel per factory torque specifications.
- Verify the fix by spinning the wheel; it should rotate silently and without lateral play.
