- Access the drawbridge hinge and stowed position area to locate the physical limit switch.
- Inspect the switch mounting bracket for signs of loose hardware or misalignment; if misaligned, adjust the bracket so the bridge actuator arm consistently depresses the switch plunger when in the fully raised position.
- If the switch is dirty or obstructed by debris, clean the housing and the actuator contact surface using an electronics-safe contact cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
- If the switch fails to toggle state during a manual test with a multimeter, remove the mounting screws and disconnect the wiring harness, then install a new, manufacturer-specified limit switch.
- Reconnect the wiring harness and verify the state change using the simulator's Motion Diagnostic Screen; the status bit should transition from 'False' to 'True' when the bridge is manually pushed into the stowed position.
- Clear all tools from the area and perform a system power-up to confirm the bridge successfully raises upon motion initiation.
