Stabilize Printer Surface and Adjust Slicer Speed Settings

Follow these steps to eliminate frame resonance noise:

  1. Stabilize the Surface: Move the Prusa XL to a heavy, rigid, and level surface. If the current table is lightweight or wobbly, place the printer on a concrete paver or a heavy-duty workbench to dampen vibrations.
  2. Adjust Slicer Speed: Open your slicer software (e.g., PrusaSlicer) and identify the current speed settings for perimeters and infill.
  3. Modify Speed Values: Increase or decrease the speed for the affected move types by 5–10 mm/s to shift the printer out of the specific harmonic resonance frequency.
  4. Apply and Test: Save the updated print profile, slice the model, and initiate a test print. Observe the printer during the previously noisy movement to verify that the audible buzzing or rattling has ceased.

Safety Precautions: Ensure the printer is powered off before moving it to a new surface. Keep fingers clear of moving parts during the test print.
