To resolve print detachment caused by warping, follow these steps to improve surface adhesion and structural stability:
- Deep Clean the Build Plate: Remove the plate from the P1S. Wash it thoroughly under warm running water using grease-cutting dish soap (e.g., Dawn) and a clean sponge. Rinse completely and dry with a lint-free towel. Avoid touching the surface with your fingers afterward to prevent oil transfer.
- Configure Brim in Slicer: Open Bambu Studio and select your model. In the 'Others' or 'Quality' tab, locate the 'Bed Adhesion' section and set 'Brim' to 'Outer Brim only'. Ensure the 'Brim width' is set to at least 5mm to provide a larger surface area for the base of your print.
- Verify Environmental Stability: Ensure the P1S glass door and top lid remain fully closed throughout the entire duration of the print to maintain a consistent chamber temperature and prevent uneven cooling that leads to edge curling.
- Verify the Fix: Observe the first 10-20 layers of your next print. The brim should lay flat against the plate with no visible lifting at the corners. If the edges remain flat through the height where previous failures occurred, the thermal warping is successfully mitigated.
Safety Note: Ensure the build plate has cooled to room temperature before washing to prevent thermal shock or warping of the plate itself.
