Adjust Refrigerator Leveling Legs and Shim Base

Safety Precaution: Unplug the refrigerator before adjusting. Ensure the doors are closed to prevent shifting.

Tools Needed: Adjustable wrench, carpenter's level, plastic shims, and a pry bar.

  1. Locate the leveling legs at the bottom front of the unit.
  2. Rotate the legs clockwise to raise or counter-clockwise to lower the unit until the level bubble is centered.
  3. If the floor slope is significant, place plastic shims under the refrigerator frame until the unit is stable and the doors swing shut slowly when left halfway open.
  4. Verify the fix by placing the carpenter's level on the center shelf again to ensure the bubble is perfectly centered.
