1. Identify the Ground (GND) pin on the laser module and the primary Ground terminal on the new control board using the silk-screen labels.
2. Use a length of 22AWG wire to bridge the laser driver's Ground pin to the control board's Ground terminal if they are not already connected via the main cable.
3. Verify with a multimeter that there is continuity between the laser module ground and the control board ground.
4. Ensure the PWM signal wire is properly seated in the controller's PWM output port.
5. Power on the system and send an M3 S255 command to confirm the laser driver can now interpret the PWM signal against the shared reference.
