Disable SimpLink HDMI-CEC Settings

To resolve power conflicts caused by external device signals, follow these steps to disable the HDMI-CEC protocol:

1. Using your LG remote, press the Settings (gear icon) button to open the menu.
2. Select All Settings at the bottom of the list.
3. Navigate to General.
4. Select External Devices.
5. Select HDMI Settings.
6. Locate SimpLink (HDMI-CEC) and toggle the switch to OFF.

Verification: Once disabled, attempt to turn off your television using the remote or the physical power button. If the TV remains off without automatically rebooting, the HDMI-CEC conflict is resolved.
