Lubricate and Clear Varnish from Internal Components

Tools Needed: High-quality sewing machine oil, lint-free cloth, screwdriver.

1. Unplug the machine from the power source for safety.
2. Remove the needle plate and bobbin case to expose the hook assembly.
3. Use a cloth dampened with a small amount of sewing machine oil to wipe away old, gummy, or yellowed oil (varnish) from all accessible metal gears and joints.
4. Apply exactly one drop of fresh, high-quality sewing machine oil to each designated oiling port as indicated in your machine manual.
5. Rotate the handwheel slowly by hand to distribute the oil.
6. Verify the fix by ensuring the handwheel spins freely without resistance before reconnecting power.
