Perform a Hard Capacitor Discharge and Power Reset

Tools Needed: None. Safety Precautions: Ensure the unit is disconnected from the wall power before beginning.

1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Press and hold the power button on the front panel of the Denon AVR-X3100W for 15 full seconds.
3. Wait for at least 5 minutes to allow all internal capacitors to fully discharge.
4. Plug the power cord directly into a known-working wall outlet (avoid power strips or surge protectors for this test).
5. Press the power button to attempt a normal startup.

Verification: The unit should exit the protection mode and the front display should illuminate normally.
