Verify and Repair Grounding Path for Tesla Wall Connector

Safety Warning: This procedure involves high-voltage electrical systems. Only a qualified electrician should perform this work. Turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to the Wall Connector before beginning.

Required Tools: Multimeter, insulated screwdriver set, torque wrench.

  1. De-energize: Switch off the dedicated circuit breaker in the main electrical panel.
  2. Inspect Terminals: Open the Wall Connector faceplate to access the wiring block. Ensure the ground wire is securely seated in the ground terminal and tightened to the manufacturer's specified torque settings.
  3. Verify Continuity: Use a multimeter to test for continuity between the Wall Connector ground terminal and the main service panel's ground bus bar. A high-resistance reading indicates a break in the path.
  4. Check Bonding: Confirm that the ground and neutral conductors are properly bonded at the main service panel according to local electrical codes.
  5. Re-test: Once repairs are made, restore power and attempt to initiate a charge. The CC_a001 alert should clear once the Wall Connector detects a complete grounding circuit.
