Replace the Throttle Body Assembly with an OE VDO Unit

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.

2. Remove the air intake boot leading to the throttle body by loosening the hose clamps.

3. Disconnect the 10-pin electrical connector from the throttle body housing.

4. Unscrew the four mounting bolts securing the throttle body to the intake manifold and remove the unit.

5. Install the new OE VDO/Siemens throttle body using a new gasket, ensuring the mounting surface is clean.

6. Reconnect the electrical harness and intake boot, then reconnect the battery.

7. Perform a throttle adaptation reset using INPA/ISTA software to verify the new potentiometer values are accepted by the DME.
