Reset the Overload Protector Button

Safety Precautions: Before beginning, ensure the disposal is turned off at the wall switch. For maximum safety, unplug the unit from the power outlet or flip the dedicated circuit breaker to the 'OFF' position at your home's electrical panel.

1. Locate the small reset button, which is typically red or black, situated on the bottom or side of the garbage disposal housing.
2. Confirm the button is physically protruding from the casing.
3. Press the button firmly inward until you feel and hear a distinct click, indicating it has engaged.
4. Wait approximately 5 to 10 minutes to allow the motor to cool down.
5. Restore power by plugging the unit back in or flipping the circuit breaker to 'ON'.
6. Turn on the wall switch to verify the motor operates correctly.
