Clear Microsoft Teams Local Cache

Follow these steps to remove corrupted state data and restore application stability:

  1. Right-click the Microsoft Teams icon in the Windows taskbar and select Quit to ensure the application is completely closed.
  2. Press the Windows Key + R simultaneously to open the Run dialog box.
  3. Type %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams into the field and press Enter.
  4. In the folder that opens, select all files and folders (Ctrl + A) and delete them.
  5. Restart Microsoft Teams and sign in again to regenerate a clean local cache.

Verification: Observe the application loading process; the absence of freezing or 'We're sorry' error messages confirms the corrupted cache has been successfully cleared and replaced with fresh configuration files.
