Tools Needed: Phillips or flathead screwdriver.
Steps:
- Shift to the smallest cog. If the chain rubs or is noisy, turn the High (H) limit screw in 1/4-turn increments until the guide pulley aligns directly under the smallest cog.
- Shift to the largest cog. If the chain rubs, turn the Low (L) limit screw counter-clockwise. If the chain shifts into the spokes, turn the screw clockwise until the chain stops just before hitting the spokes.
Verification: Cycle through all gears while pedaling to ensure the chain transitions smoothly without jumping off the cassette or making excessive noise.
