1. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface and allow the engine to sit for 10 minutes. 2. Pull the oil dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it fully, and pull it again to check the level. 3. Add the manufacturer-recommended engine oil in small increments until the level reaches the full mark on the dipstick. 4. Start the engine and ensure there are no active oil leaks around the oil filter or filler cap. 5. Use an OBD2 scanner to clear the P0021 code from the engine control module. 6. Take the vehicle for a test drive, ensuring the engine reaches operating temperature, to confirm that proper oil volume has restored AVCS operation and the code remains inactive.
