Follow these steps to properly set the nozzle height for optimal filament adhesion.
Navigate to the printer LCD menu and select 'Calibration' then 'First Layer Calibration'.
Initiate the print test pattern.
As the printer deposits the filament, observe the texture and adhesion; use the LCD knob to adjust the Live Adjust Z value in real-time.
Move the value toward zero (e.g., from -1.200 to -1.100) if the nozzle is too low and plowing into the bed, or away from zero (e.g., from -1.100 to -1.200) if the filament is not adhering or shows gaps.
Continue adjusting until the filament is slightly squished into the bed, resulting in a smooth, uniform surface without rough ridges or gaps.
Verify the fix by observing that the final test pattern layer is solid and consistent across the entire print area.
