Clean Debris from Under the Keyboard Key

Safety Precautions: Ensure the laptop is powered off completely and disconnected from any power source before starting.

Tools Required: A can of compressed air with a straw attachment and an optional plastic prying tool.

1. Hold the laptop at a 45-degree angle to allow gravity to assist in dislodging debris.
2. Insert the compressed air straw near the edge of the affected key and use short, controlled bursts of air to blow out any trapped crumbs, dust, or grit.
3. Move the straw around the perimeter of the key to ensure air reaches all sides of the switch mechanism.
4. If debris remains, use a plastic prying tool to gently lift the edge of the keycap, but do not remove it unless necessary, as the plastic clips are fragile.
5. Once cleaned, press the key several times to ensure it has regained its full travel distance and no longer feels 'mushy' or obstructed.
6. Power on the laptop and test the key in a text editor to verify that it registers input consistently.
