Clean and Clear the Miele Drain Pump and Filter

Tools Needed: Shallow tray or baking sheet, towel, clean water.

1. Safety: Turn off the machine and unplug it. If a hot cycle just finished, wait for the water to cool.
2. Drain: Place a shallow tray under the front access flap. Slowly loosen the filter to allow water to drain into the tray. Tighten if the tray fills up.
3. Clean: Once the water is drained, unscrew the filter completely. Rinse it under running water to remove lint and debris.
4. Inspect: Check the pump chamber for foreign objects and verify the impeller rotates freely.
5. Finalize: Reinsert the filter and tighten it securely. Run a rinse cycle to verify the error is cleared and no leakage occurs.
