Stringing is identified by the presence of thin, hair-like filaments stretching between distinct points of a print after travel moves. To verify this, inspect the print for unwanted webbing or 'hairs' across gaps. If the nozzle continues to extrude or leak material while the toolhead is performing non-printing travel movements, the printer is failing to maintain negative pressure or flow control during idle transitions.
