Spa Churning Due to Low Water Level

Low water level is the most common cause of pump cavitation. It is confirmed by physically inspecting the water line in the spa basin relative to the skimmer or intake aperture. If the water level is below the intake threshold, the pump draws air instead of water, causing the characteristic churning sound. This is verified if the noise stops immediately after filling the spa to the recommended operating level above the intake.
