Rohloff Shifting Failure Due to Incorrect Cable Tension or Indexing

Confirm this cause by checking the cable adjusters for excessive slack or tightness. Verify if the twist shifter and hub are out of sync by setting the shifter to gear 14 and checking if the shifting shaft on the hub is at its maximum counter-clockwise stop. If the shifter has more or less than 5mm of rotational play when a gear is selected, the system requires re-indexing.
