This is the most common cause for F6 errors in machines utilizing brush-type motors. Confirmation is achieved by accessing the motor housing and inspecting the carbon brushes for physical length. If the brushes measure less than 1/2 inch (approximately 12mm) in length, they are confirmed as worn. Additionally, if the brush springs have lost tension or the carbon contact surface is pitted and uneven, the motor cannot complete the circuit required to reach the necessary spin speed.
