Electric Kettle Power Failure Due to Dirty or Corroded Contact Points

Poor electrical contact occurs when the metal concentric rings on the base or the underside of the kettle are obstructed by debris, mineral buildup, or oxidation. To confirm this, visually inspect the central circular connector for discoloration, dust, or corrosion. Use a multimeter to measure continuity between the base's input plug and the contact rings; if there is no continuity or high resistance, the contact points are failing to transmit power to the kettle.
