Replace the Motorcycle Battery

Safety Precautions: Wear safety glasses and gloves. Ensure the engine is off and the key is removed. Tools Needed: Socket set or screwdriver, new battery, terminal grease.

1. Locate the battery compartment and remove the retaining strap or cover.
2. Disconnect the negative (black) cable first, then the positive (red) cable.
3. Remove the old battery and clean the terminal connectors with a wire brush.
4. Install the new battery and connect the positive cable first, followed by the negative cable.
5. Apply a light coating of terminal grease to prevent corrosion.
6. Verify the fix by turning the ignition to 'On' and starting the engine.
