Follow these steps to restore power to the bilge pump:

- Inspect and Clean Connections: Locate all crimped wiring connections between the power source and the pump. If you observe corrosion, green oxidation, or loose wires, cut the wire back to clean copper.
- Replace Terminals: Install new marine-grade, heat-shrink waterproof connectors using a proper crimping tool to ensure a moisture-tight seal.
- Service Fuses and Breakers: If the fuse is blown or the breaker tripped, perform a continuity test. Replace the fuse with one of the exact amperage rating specified by the pump manufacturer.
- Verify Grounding: Ensure the ground wire is securely attached to a clean, non-corroded terminal block or bus bar. Use a wire brush to remove any oxidation from the grounding point if necessary.
- Test the Fix: Reconnect the battery power and turn the helm switch to 'Manual' to confirm the pump activates. Use a multimeter to verify that the voltage at the pump motor terminals is within 5% of the battery's nominal voltage.
