Replace the Temperature Control Thermostat

Unplug the refrigerator from the power source to ensure safety.

Locate the thermostat housing, which is usually found inside the refrigerator compartment near the control panel.

Remove the control knob and the housing cover to expose the thermostat assembly.

Carefully disconnect the wires attached to the old thermostat, taking note of their original positions for reinstallation.

Unscrew the mounting screws and remove the old thermostat unit.

Install the new thermostat, reconnect the wires, and secure the housing and control knob back into place.

Plug the refrigerator back in and set it to the manufacturer's recommended temperature.
