Safety Precautions: Always unplug the washing machine from the power supply before performing any maintenance.
Tools Needed: A shallow tray or baking sheet, several absorbent towels, and a cloth for cleaning.
- Place a shallow tray and towels on the floor directly beneath the flap at the bottom front of the machine to catch escaping water.
- Open the pump filter flap and slowly unscrew the filter cover in a counter-clockwise direction, allowing the water to drain gradually into your tray.
- Once all water has drained, fully remove the filter housing.
- Inspect the filter and the internal cavity for physical debris such as coins, lint, hair, or small clothing items, and remove them.
- Locate the impeller—the small fan-like component—inside the pump housing and use your finger to manually rotate it to ensure it spins freely without any resistance or obstruction.
- Clean the filter under running water to remove any remaining residue and screw it back into the machine, ensuring it is tightened securely to prevent leaks.
- Plug the machine back in and run a short 'Drain/Spin' cycle to verify that the water pumps out effectively and the F05 error is cleared.
