Confirm this cause by performing a Cylinder Balance Test or Cylinder Cut-out Test using professional diagnostic software (e.g., DAVIE XD or Jaltest). Monitor the 'fuel correction values' for each cylinder. An injector or pumping unit fault is confirmed if one specific cylinder displays a correction value significantly outside the normal operating range compared to the others, or if the idle stabilizes immediately when that specific cylinder is cut out during the test. Check for associated fault codes such as P0269, P0270, P0271, or P0272.
