Motorcycle Drive Shaft Noise Due to Final Drive Bearing Failure

With the rear wheel off the ground, hold the tire at the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions and attempt to rock it back and forth. Any lateral movement or "clunking" sensation indicates that the wheel bearing or the internal final drive output bearing has excessive clearance.
