Inspect the charge port inlet and the charging cable connector for signs of physical impedance. Use a flashlight to check for debris, dust, moisture, or foreign objects within the port pins. Verify the integrity of the pins by checking for signs of bending, heat-induced discoloration, or melting of the plastic housing, which would prevent a successful Control Pilot signal handshake.
