Inspect the speaker terminal connections on the back of the receiver. Examine the bare wire ends for individual copper strands that have frayed and are making contact with the metal chassis or the adjacent speaker terminal. This contact creates an electrical bridge that triggers the amplifier's overcurrent protection.
