Clear and Secure Speaker Wire Connections

Safety Precaution: Ensure the receiver is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet before touching the speaker terminals to prevent electrical shock or further damage.

  1. Locate the speaker terminal block on the back of the Denon AVR-X1500H.
  2. Disconnect all speaker wires from the terminals by pressing the spring-loaded tabs or unscrewing the binding posts.
  3. Inspect the exposed ends of each speaker wire. Trim any frayed or stray copper strands using wire cutters so that the insulation ends flush with the terminal connection point.
  4. Ensure that no individual copper strands are protruding outside the terminal cavity or touching the metal back panel of the chassis.
  5. Reinsert the clean, twisted wire ends firmly into the corresponding terminals, ensuring a tight connection with no bare wire exposed outside the terminal housing.
  6. Once all wires are securely connected and verified to be free of stray strands, plug the receiver back in and power it on to confirm the red blinking light has ceased.
