Inspect the motor cable for breaks or loose crimps that prevent current from reaching the motor coils. Use a multimeter to measure resistance between each pin at the driver end of the cable while the motor is disconnected. Each coil should show an identical, low-resistance reading. If any pair shows an open circuit (OL), the cable or connector is faulty.
Tools needed: Multimeter.
Verification: Ensure stable continuity readings across the motor's full range of motion. Once verified, reconnect to the driver and attempt a controlled move command.
