Clear the Defrost Drain Tube

Tools Needed: Turkey baster or small funnel, hot water, pipe cleaner or flexible wire, screwdriver.

Safety Precautions: Unplug the refrigerator before starting.

1. Remove the food and shelving to access the back wall of the freezer.
2. Remove the rear panel to expose the evaporator coils and drain hole.
3. Use a pipe cleaner or flexible wire to gently dislodge any ice or debris from the drain hole.
4. Flush the drain tube with a mixture of hot water and a small amount of baking soda using the turkey baster.
5. Ensure the water drains freely into the pan below.
6. Reassemble the panels and restore power.

Verification: Monitor the unit for 24 hours to ensure no further water accumulation occurs at the base of the freezer.
