Clear ice buildup from the evaporator fan housing

If the evaporator fan is obstructed by ice, it can cause a loud grinding or clicking noise. Follow these steps to clear the obstruction:

1. Unplug the refrigerator from the power source to ensure safety.
2. Remove the food items and the rear access panel inside the freezer compartment to expose the evaporator coils and fan.
3. Inspect the fan blades and the surrounding housing for any ice accumulation or frost buildup.
4. Use a hair dryer on a low heat setting or a warm, damp cloth to gently melt and remove the ice. Do not use sharp tools to chip away ice, as this may damage the coils.
5. Verify that the fan blades spin freely and are not hitting any remaining ice or debris.
6. Reinstall the access panel and plug the refrigerator back in to test for noise reduction.
