Replace the Compressor Unit

Safety Warning: Refrigerant handling requires professional certification. Unplug the unit and discharge capacitors before starting.

Tools Needed: Brazing torch, vacuum pump, refrigerant recovery machine, replacement compressor, new filter drier.

1. Recover existing refrigerant using a certified recovery machine.
2. Disconnect the electrical harness and suction/discharge lines from the old compressor.
3. Remove the mounting bolts and extract the compressor.
4. Install the new compressor and secure the mounting bolts.
5. Braze the suction and discharge lines, ensuring a leak-proof seal.
6. Install a new filter drier to ensure system cleanliness.
7. Evacuate the system to a deep vacuum and recharge with the specific refrigerant amount indicated on the unit's nameplate.
8. Power on the unit and verify that the compressor runs smoothly without grinding noises.
